KUCHING: The food bazaar, held in conjunction with the Citrawarna Keluarga Malaysia 2022 programme at Padang Merdeka Kuching, attracted many local food entrepreneurs.

One of them was Alleyza Abdul Rahman who promoted the products she made and those obtained from local vendors.

Among the local products she sold were ‘rempeyek’, tapioca chips, ‘lemantak’ and ‘gula apong’ flavoured sweets.

“I am so excited to see encouraging response from the visitors during this food bazaar.

“Such initiatives from the government provide an opportunity for small traders and entrepreneurs to expand their brand and products to the local community,” she said to New Sarawak Tribune on Sunday.

She added that they could generate incomes through this four -day event while promoting the culture of Sarawak through traditional food, especially to the visitors from Peninsular Malaysia.
