KUCHING: Stranded villagers of Kpg Segu Bunuk received food aid and essentials from Hope Place.

A part of the village was cut off from the main road due to the collapse of the only bridge connecting them, leaving them inaccessible by vehicles.

“In response to the urgent need for assistance, Hope Place provided temporary food aid at the roadside near the collapsed bridge.

“Essential items such as rice, dry noodles, biscuits, malt drinks, canned food, and baby formula for two infants were distributed to the affected families,” Hope Place said in a press release yesterday.

Village headman Cassidy Tek said the bridge’s collapse during a landslide on Monday (April 1) morning caused 10 houses to be isolated.

For inquiries or to offer support, the public can contact Hope Place or Persatuan Kebajikan Harapan Kuching (PKHK) at 082-505987 during operating hours: 8 am to 5 pm on weekdays and 8 am to 12 pm on Saturdays.

Donations are welcome, and receipts are provided upon request. Contributions can be made directly to their bank account MBB: 511289001160 or through their Facebook page to obtain their Sarawak Pay / S PAY GLOBAL QR code.
