KUCHING: Food supplies worth RM10,000 have been delivered to  residents of Taman Mesra Bako, currently under enhanced movement control order (EMCO), by the Santubong Service Centre.

Federal Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development Minister Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said he would ensure that the centre provide the best possible assistance to the residents.

Wan Junaidi, who is also Santubong MP, said this after handing over supplies at Taman Mesra Bako here on Thursday (April 22).

“The supplies comprised, among others, fresh chicken, vegetables, eggs and cooking oil. This is based on what the residents themselves wanted.

“If there are those who need separate or unique supplies, they can inform the community leader or contact the service centre,” Wan Junaidi explained.

“I understand that they also receive an adequate supply of dry food. In fact, the Social Welfare Department even sends cooked food three times a day to them.

“If the restriction period is extended, then we will increase the necessary contributions.”
