MIRI: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) Miri branch has assured that food supply during the recovery movement control order (RMCO) period is sufficient, Miri KPDNHEP chief Joe Azmi Jamil said today (Jan 12).

He said Miri KPDNHEP is always monitoring developments and food stocks in this district to avoid shortages or increases of price.

“Don’t worry, there’s no need for panic buying as the food stocks are more than enough,” he said.

Earlier, Joe Azmi and his officers have inspected food retailers here.

“Stocks for items such as face masks (100,500 pieces), hand sanitisers (50,210 bottles), sugar, rice, flour, cooking oil and fresh chicken (17,000kg) are sufficient,” he said.
