BETONG: The enforcement of ‘circuit breakers’ involving four districts in the Betong Division emphasises that food supply and sale activities are only allowed to operate from 6am to 10pm.

In a statement from the Betong Division Disaster Management Committee (DDMC), all business premises in the Betong Division are allowed to operate according to the stated schedule.

“However, only take-home, drive-through, and cash-on-delivery (COD) methods of supplying and selling food are permitted,” he said.

Betong DDMC through the statement informed the enforcement of ‘circuit breaker’ specifically for Betong, Pusa, Saratok and Kabong districts.

The statement also advised the public to avoid social activities such as weddings, birthday celebrations, farewell parties and others that involve public gatherings.

Meanwhile, religious activities are still subject to standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the Sarawak Islamic Council and Unit for Other Religious (Unifor) accordingly.

Any funeral activities and returning homes must be notified to the nearest district office or sub-district office.
