BINTULU: Narcotic police here arrested a foreign man on suspicion of engaging in substance abuse.
Bintulu district police chief Supt Batholomew Umpit in a statement, said the arrest took place at Jalan Main Bazaar on Wednesday (8 June).
“The arrest involves a 25-year-old foreigner who was found with the drug syabu weighing 0.4 gram.
“As a result, the suspect who was also tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine, will be investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he said.
This arrest is part of efforts by his men in tackling drug issues as well as crime prevention in Bintulu, he pointed out.
