Forest Dept, MACC to carry out joint programmes

KUCHING: Sarawak Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) director Razim Mohd Noor yesterday received a courtesy call from the state Forest Department director Hamden Mohammad at the state MACC headquarters here.

The two-hour visit aimed at strengthening cooperation between the Sarawak Forest Department and the Sarawak MACC. The discussions covered a range of topics including advisory services related to the
implementation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan (OACP) and Corruption Risk Management (CRM).

The two directors also discussed joint programmes to be carried out by the Forest Department and the MACC in future.

The state Forest Department delegation comprised deputy director Jack Liam, assistant director (Prevention and Enforcement Division) Suliman Jamahari, assistant director (Licence Division) Azahari Omar, representative from the Licensing Division Ahmad Ashrin Mohamad Bohari and representative of the Strategic Planning and Development Project Division Phillcaine Pilla .The delegation was received by state MACC deputy director Abdul Razak Deraof and deputy director (prevention) Chang
