SERIAN: The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Serian District held a blood donation campaign jointly with the Serian Education Department in conjunction with the Teacher’s Day Carnival on June 20th at SMK Serian with the theme “Give Blood Save Life, 1 Pint Can Save 3 Lives”.
Form 6 students from SMK Serian were the highest number of donors. Teachers and staff members of SMK Serian, SMK Tebedu, SJK Chung Hua Batu 29, SK Triang, SK Pridan, SK Sungai Rimu, SK Entayan, and PPD Serian also donated blood.
Around 82 candidates took part in a health screening to determine if they were eligible to donate. However, only 26 candidates passed.
The organising committee expressed their gratitude to all those who had helped in one way or another to make the campaign a success.
