WASHINGTON: Former CIA employee Brian Jeffrey Raymond pleaded guilty to sex crimes involving numerous women in multiple countries, reported Sputnik, quoting the US Justice Department in a statement.

“Raymond admitted to drugging and sexually assaulting several women in his embassy-leased housing and elsewhere between 2006 and 2020. Additionally, Raymond admitted that, over 14 years, he photographed or video recorded 28 victims while they were nude or partially nude,” the statement said on Tuesday.

Raymond, who worked for the CIA and the US Embassy in Mexico City, faces between 24 and 30 years in prison, as well as supervised release for life, the statement said.

Sentencing hearings in Raymond’s case are set for September 2024, the statement said.

Footage of Raymond’s crimes depict him touching and manipulating the bodies of his unconscious victims, many of whom he met through dating applications, in his embassy-leased housing, the statement said.

Raymond will also be required to pay restitution to his victims as part of the plea agreement, the statement said.

Raymond pleaded guilty to similar charges in July 2021. However, he attempted to delete evidence of the crimes after learning about the criminal investigation into his actions, the statement added.– BERNAMA-SPUTNIK
