MIRI: A retired school headmaster has been named as Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru’s (PBDSB) candidate for the Marudi seat in the 12th Sarawak Election.

Sawing Kedit, 56, from Rumah Neting Sungai Bair Atas Bakong Beluru Baram, obtained  his Bachelor in Education in 2012.

“Marudi is a Dayak majority seat,” said PBDSB president Bobby William on Thursday (Nov 18), adding   that there would be more announcements on the party’s candidates from time to time.

In the 11th Sarawak Election in 2016, Marudi was won by Datu Dr Penguang Manggil, back then a Barisan Nasional candidate.

Penguang garnered 5,493 votes to defeat PKR’s Elia Bit and independent Louis Jalong with a majority of 1,387.
