KUCHING: Political secretary to the Chief Minister, Abu Seman Jahwie had passed away at the age of 64.
The former Jemoreng assemblyman breathed his last at 5am at one of the private medical centres in Sibu on Friday (Sept 17) morning.
Aside from being a former assemblyman, he was also the Sarawak National Youth Organisation (Saberkas) Jemoreng branch chairman and a former deputy secretary general.
Abu Seman was the first elected representative for Jemoreng after the state constituency was created in 2005. He was a two-term assemblyman.
In the 11th state election in 2016, he did not seek re-election and was succeeded by incumbent Datuk Dr Juanda Jaya.
His remains were be buried at the Kemuyang Islamic Cemetery in Sibu on the same day.
