Former State Secretary calls on Head of State

KUCHING: Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud received a farewell visit from Datuk Amar Jaul Samion, the former State Secretary, in Demak Jaya here today.

Jaul began his Sarawak public service some 42 years ago.

He held the position of Deputy State Secretary (rural transformation) from Aug 8, 2016 until May 16, 2019 before being appointed as State Secretary on Aug 22, 2019.

Jaul, the second Iban to hold the post of State Secretary, ended his service on June 30 this year at the age of 64.
