SERIAN: The involvement of locals in numerous activities, regardless of their background, is a convincing proof of unity.

After visiting Kota Samarahan, Simunjan and Gedong, the convoy arrived at Serian before commencing the highlight of the event in front of the Roxy Hotel, here at about 4pm.

“In conjunction with National Month, the convoy that halts at set checkpoints can foster patriotism and promote harmony among members of the public.

“In Sarawak, it is important to protect the unity of people of all ethnicities, religions and beliefs.

“As Sarawakians, it is our responsibility to maintain the peace and tranquility we have long known,” he said after flagging off the Kembara Merdeka Keluarga Malaysia 2022 (KMKM2020) convoy at Roxy Hotel foyer yesterday.
