KUCHING: The State Disaster Management Committee continues to receive donations from concerned corporate bodies in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas received the donation from the company’s representative Dr Haironi Yusoff after Uggah chaired the committee’s daily meeting to update on the latest situation.

According to a statement issued by OBYU, the company shares the deep concern over the spread of Covid-19 within Sarawak.

“In line with one of our objectives to provide social and community support, we are extending our corporate responsibilities to assist the state government in its efforts to mitigate the impact of the pandemic and protect the well-being of all Sarawakians.”

Later, Uggah also received a donation of RM106,725.00 from Asaljuru Weida Sdn Bhd group.
