Foundation organises PUBG e-sports event

KUCHING: Sarawak Malay Cultural Foundation Charitable Trust (AKYBMS) in cooperation with strategic collaborative partnerships Saramedia Global Sdn Bhd (SMG), Sarawak State Youth and Sports Department, and Sarawak All Stars E-Sports (SAS) will be holding a SAMArindok PUBG MOBILE SARAMEDIA-AKYBMS 2020 e-sports event online on Sept 25 to Sept 26 this year.

“This match will be broadcast live on AKYBMS Facebook and Deputy Chief Minister and AKYBMS Board of Trustees chairman Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan is expected to officiate at the event through the platform,” said AKYBMS general manager Datuk Dr Sanib Said in a statement issued today.

So far, a total of 128 squads have confirmed a spot to battle for accumulated prizes worth RM5,000.

“The winner will receive a cash prize of RM1,000, a trophy and a certificate, while the runner-up will be offered a cash prize of RM700, a trophy and a certificate. Third and fourth place winners will take home RM500 cash along with a trophy and RM300 cash as well as a certificate respectively.

“The finalists of the final game will also have a chance to win 12 consolation prizes provided in the form of RM150 cash and RM80 cash along with certificates in addition to two special awards, namely SAMArindok Player and SAMArindok Squad,” he added.
