MIRI: Four local men were arrested for stealing mangoes at a house in Krokop 6 on Tuesday morning (Aug 19).
According to sources, the men in their 30’s were arrested by a police patrol around 9am after a call about the incident from the locals.
Residents in the area claimed to have seen four individuals behaving suspiciously before contacting the authorities for further action.
Policemen arrived at the location to find the suspects trying to steal coconuts nearby.
During the arrest, the police also found a sack containing more than 20 mangoes
The suspects were believed to have sold the mangoes to buyers for RM2.50 each.
All the suspects were then taken to the Miri Central Police Station for further action.
