Four Baram schools hit by floods

Flood water level at SK Long Teru is reported rising up to one feet hight as of 8am on Sunday.
The flood in SK Long Panai has begun subsided.

MIRI: Several rural schools in low-lying areas at Baram came under water following non-stop heavy rain since Saturday.

According to Miri Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) zone six chief Supt Law Poh Kiong, floodwaters Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Benawa, SK Long Panai, SK Long Teru and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Tutoh Apoh.

But no one was required to evacuate as the floods began to subside.

As of 8 am Sunday, the floodwater level at two of these schools, namely, SK Long Panai and SMK Tutoh Apoh have improved.
