Four Beluru longhouses still under lockdown

MIRI: Active contact detection (ACD) was carried out in Beluru after Covid-19 cases were reported in the district recently.

According to the minister in charge of the Miri Division Disaster Management Committee, Datuk Lee Kim Shin today, 307 swab tests were collected from five localities, namely Rumah Baran; Rumah Hilary Tawan; Rumah Ramba; Kampung Haji Mohd Yusuf Taha and the Bakong Plantation during the ACD from Feb 12 to 14.  

He added that four longhouses in Beluru were still under lockdown until Feb 21.

These longhouses are Rumah Pengabang; Rumah Mathew Tiri; Rumah Lawang and Rumah Bayan.

Nine other longhouses which have been released from lockdown are Rumah Emah; Rumah Apol; Rumah Anthony; Rumah Chabu; Rumah Justine; Rumah Nelson; Rumah Clarence; Rumah Sabang and Long Jaeh Longhouse (in Telang Usan).

“Three oil palm plantations in Subis district were also released from lockdown on February 8 while one estate, also in Subis, is still under lockdown until Feb 22,” he disclosed.
