KUCHING: Four occupants escaped unhurt albeit homeless after a house they were staying in at Taman Desa Wira, Batu Kawa was razed by fire last Saturday night.
The four — two men and two women, managed to get out of the house before the fire spread. It is uncertain whether they are family members or tenants of the house.
The State Fire Department operations centre said it received an emergency call around 9.10pm and despatched firemen from Batu Lintang and Tabuan Jaya fire stations to the scene.
Upon arrival, the firemen found that the house was already razed to the ground.
The blaze was successfully put out around 10pm. The cause of the fire and loss to properties are yet to be ascertained.
