Four more deaths in Sarawak

KUCHING: Sarawak has recorded four new Covid-19 deaths, bringing the death toll to 417.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement said the 414th death was a local 80-year-old woman from Sibu district who passed away at Sibu Hospital.

She was confirmed positive on June 9. The case had comorbidities of high blood pressure, diabetes and dyslipidemia.

The 415th death was a 48-year-old male Chinese national in Bukit Mabong; his body was brought in to Kapit Hospital.

The case was involved in the Putai Cluster detected in Bukit Mabong and was confirmed positive on June 30.

The 416th death involved a local man, aged 78, from Kuching district, who died at Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).

He was confirmed positive on June 9 and had no comorbidities.

The 417th death was also a local man, aged 55, from Sibu district, and had passed away at Sibu Hospital.

The case was confirmed positive on June 20. He had high blood pressure, gout, heart disease, and chronic kidney disease.
