KUCHING: Some 1,337,000 free face masks will be distributed to 248,000 households in Kuching, Samarahan and Serian.
The distribution of the face masks are given under Covid-19 Sarawakku Sayang Assistance Package (SSAP 1.0).
Witnessing the handover of the face masks from Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) secretariat to the Resident of Kuching, Samarahan and Serian Division for distribution to the different households were Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Sim Hui Kian.
Dr Sim said for red zones, each household will receive six pieces of face masks and four pieces for each household in yellow and green zones.
He said all the other divisions will be delivered in the next few days for distribution to all the households in their respective division.
Dr Sim thanked University Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) students for helping to do the packing.
