SIBU: The state-level Road Safety Campaign will be held at the Petronas Sibu Jaya Station on May 24.

Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin is expected to officiate at the event.

During the campaign, the first 300 motorcycle riders and passengers will receive new helmets and reflective vests.

Additionally, the organisers will provide goodies to road users, including hand fans, traditional Gawai cookies, mobile phone holders and pamphlets.

A preparatory meeting for the campaign was recently held at the Sibu Resident’s Office to discuss the event’s details. The meeting was chaired by Sibu Deputy Resident Christopher Ranggau Unting, who represented the Sibu Resident.
