KUCHING: Free internet service will soon be made available to students of higher learning institutions in the Tasik Biru constituency.

This is to enable the students concerned to follow the online classes by their respective universities, said Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Henry Harry Jinep.

Most Sarawakian students who are pursuing their higher education in universities abroad including in Malaya are currently not able to attend physical classes due to the current Covid-19 pandemic. Their classes are conducted online.

Henry in a video message to his constituents yesterday (Sept 8) said the free internet service would be made available by the Tasik Biru Service Centre.

“It will be made available at various locations depending on the request by the students concerned.”

He said students who require the service must apply to the Tasik Biru Service Centre for registration purposes and to obtain a slot for the free internet service.

The Tasik Biru Service Centre, which is located at the First Floor, Lot 722, Jalan Market Bau can be contacted at 082 764 798.
