TERRIFIED: The slow loris clinging on at the top of the tower.

MIRI: A 51-year-old lorry driver was shocked when he spotted a Bengal slow loris clinging onto a telecommunication tower at nearby the Senadin traffic light intersection on Thursday morning (Feb 14).

The encounter was made around 9.24am.

It appeared to be that the frightened creature was trapped and could not move off the tower.

Worried that the animal might electrocute itself, the lorry driver immediately called the Civil Defence Force (APM) for help.

Upon responding to the alert, three APM personnel arrived at the location around 10.03am.

Upon their arrival, the slow loris appeared to be unharmed and was still grasping onto the tower.

It took them less than 20 minutes to pull it away from the tower safely.

SAVED: The slow loris.

The slow loris was later released to a nearby jungle.
