MIRI: Members of the group of nine (G9) politicians who quit Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) on September 1 are now with Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru (PBDSB).
PBDSB president Bobby William said their applications were officially accepted yesterday.
“Our supreme council have officially endorsed their application to become members. One of them had actually applied and had his application approved much earlier,” he added.
The nine are Kenneth Adan Silek, Ignatius Joseph Bunsuan, Sylvester Embuas, Robert Saweng, Leo Bunsu, Baba Empran, Jeffry Unggat and Lingga Atok.
William claimed that another 30 or more members of PBK, who were aligned to the nine, are expected to also apply to join PBDSB.
He said the inclusion of the nine is a good morale booster to the party which is eyeing to contest in at least 50 seats in the coming state polls.
According to William, the party would be contesting in mostly predominantly Dayak seats.
