
MUKAH: Business premises around Mukah town here are operating transparently.
Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) Mukah branch yesterday conducted an inspection of business premises throughout the town and discovered no cases of non-compliance.
According to the spokesperson of the ministry’s enforcement, the team have inspected premises that sell toys as well as helmets.
At the premises, he said price tags were displayed on sale items while weights and measures used are all valid.
He added that the entire premises or business stalls that were inspected were in accordance with the law under the KPDNHEP.
Apart from that, price of chicken eggs and chickens sold did not exceed the control price. The prices are also marked using a pink marker that is easy to see and clear.
“The inspection of the supply of basic necessities found the supply of basic necessities such as onions, rice, coarse sugar, cooking oil, wheat flour and vegetables are sufficient and easy to obtain.
“In Ops ATM (chicken, egg, cooking oil) Phase 2, the results of inspections found that the supply of chicken, chicken eggs and cooking oil being available in grocery stores and still sufficient as well as easy to obtain.
“There was no price increase and no goods were sold above the price set during the inspection,” he added.
