KUCHING: Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) is inviting all cave explorers for an extraordinary adventure at the Wind Cave Nature Reserve on July 29 and 30.

In a social media post, SFC said the programme will be held in conjunction with the National Caves and Karst Day 2023.

The ‘Cave a Fun Day’ programme offers various exciting activities in the lineup and educational experiences for all ages.

Participants can look forward to a storytelling session on the hidden secrets and mythical creatures of the caves.

Attendees also can unleash their creativity in the rock painting activity and shop on site as there will be a car boot sale, offering variety of bargains.

There will also be an educational tour from the knowledgeable guides to learn more about the geological formations, unique wildlife, and the importance of conservation in preserving the nature.

Visitors may also opt for a guided tour after dark and witness the transformation of the caves under the shimmering moonlight.

Following that, there will be an educational talk led by experts in the field where one can learn about the significance of caves, their ecological importance and SFC’s efforts to protect these invaluable ecosystems.

The programme starts at 8 am for both days. Admission to the event is free, with only an entrance fee to the Wind Cave Nature Reserve.

Due to limited slots, interested participants are encouraged to register early to secure their spot.
