SERIAN: STM Lottery Sdn Bhd (STM Lottery) presented angpows to 100 senior citizens here on Sunday as part of its 36th Sports Toto Chinese New Year (CNY) Ang Pow Donation Campaign.
Its Serian branch, one of the 48 locations chosen for the company’s donation drive this year, also gave mini hampers to the elderly.
The donation campaign, which is STM Lottery’s largest charity project, aims to benefit over 19,000 needy senior citizens nationwide.
Its Area Sales Executive Florence Loo said the Serian branch had put up posters to inform people about the campaign.
“An open registration was held on Monday (Jan 9) for the branch’s walk-in customers to register themselves for the donation campaign which is limited to 100 customers.
“This is also our effort to appreciate customers, especially our regular customers,” she said during the handover of the CNY goodies here.
Since the donation campaign’s inception in 1988, STM Lottery (formerly known as Sports Toto Malaysia Sdn Bhd) has donated over RM24.3 million, helping more than 437,000 senior citizens across the country.
