KAPIT: Kapit District Office in collaboration with other government agencies, non-governmental organisations and community leaders here will hold Gawai Bazaar Kapit 2.0 (BGK) from 28 April to 28 May from 4.00 pm to12.00 midnight daily.
Kapit District Officer Elvis Didit is the organising committee chairman.
The event will be launched by a deputy chief minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing on 30 April at 6.00 pm and closed by Deputy Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi on 27 May.
Sixty stalls have already been taken up by Dayak entrepreneurs which is twice the number which took part in BGK1.0 last year, according to Elvis.
Among the highlights of this year’s event are Sarawak Got Talents (preliminary rounds slotted on 14 May), Mrs BGK Pageant 2017 (final on 27 May), Pekit Suara Emas on 12May, Pekit Betaboh Ajat Iban on 13 May and PertandinganTarian Jamilah (preliminary rounds on 19 May and final on 20 May).
