BINTULU : A group of Orang Ulu from two constituencies travelling all the way from Telang Usan and Murum to pay Gawai visit to newly appointed Minister of Utilities Datuk Dr. Stephen Rundi.

Telang Usan Assemblymaan Dennis Ngau who led the entourage said Gawai Dayak celebration is not just to celebrate a good paddy harvest but also to celebrate unity in diversity.

Dennis and the entourage went to Dato Rundi’s house, Rh. Meikel Ding in Sebauh to portray the uniqueness of the  community where people of difference ethnics join the merry making of other communities in time of celebration like Gawai.

“We use the opportunity to visit Dr.Rundi in Sebauh. We come all the way from TelangUsan and Murum to celebrate Gawai together with our Dayak brothers and sisters,” he said.

Dennis called on the people to preserve the culture of visiting one another during festive celebrations to enhance unity and harmony.
