Geboo FC lift soccer crown

KUCHING: Geboo FC won the seven-a-side football championship last Sunday at Kampung Tanjung Parang, Kota Samarahan.

They beat Kurkur Murmur 2-1 in the final to take home a prize money of RM1,500 along with trophies and medals.

Kurkur Murmur pocketed RM1,000 while Kasuma FA, who beat Kanisa FC 1-0, walked away with RM500.

The prize-giving ceremony was officiated by Kota Samarahan MP Datuk Rubiah Wang.

“Well done and congratulations to the organising committee for their commitment in running this tournament.

“I believe it is a good platform to unearth new football talents in Samarahan Division,” she said.
