KUCHING: More than 40 participants representing local and overseas universities and colleges from Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom came together at MMS Education Fair, here at Pullman Hotel, yesterday.
Market Management Services Sdn Bhd (MMS) started the first stretch of the fair here, with about 56 local universities participated for this year’s education fair.
MMS senior manager May Tan said the event is held three times in a year, with the purpose of providing first-hand information for parents and their children.
“We (MMS) provide this platform for parents and their child to get more knowledge and information from these universities before making a decision.
“These universities provide more information upon having face-to-face interaction, in case the person has any further enquiries, they can ask away,” she said.
Tan added that MMS also guides and gives counsel for the parents and their children to fit their desire and suitable university.
“We would ask them about their requirements, what field that they are interested in and where they want to go before guiding them to a suitable university,” she said.
MMS Education Fair is held throughout Sabah and Sarawak from Feb 29 until March 8, starting here and will continue at Kota Kinabalu (March 1), Labuan (March 2), Sandakan (March 3), Tawau (March 4), Bintulu (March 6), Sibu (March 7) and Miri (March 8).
