About 500 people participated in the campaign which was aimed at educating the public on early prevention and detection of diabetes, and also to allows for early treatment of the disease.

According to Ling, a woman who came for the campaign was shocked to discover that she had diabetes.

“All the while this woman thought that she was healthy. She has been referred to Sibu Hospital for further action,” he added.
