Good choice for tertiary education

Date:

KUCHING: Politeknik Kuching Sarawak (PKS) has conducted an Orientation Week for the admission of new students for the 2022/2023 session.

New Sarawak Tribune spoke to several students to gain their perspective on entering PKS and their expectation of studying in the institution.

Here are some of their thoughts on the subject.

DENNOVAN CHRIST,  18

Petrochemical  Student

Entering PKS is a very good choice. The reason why I chose PKS over other educational institutions is because the cost of study is cheap as compared to other institutions.

Sylvera Alexius

SYLVERA ALEXIUS,  19

Business  Studies  Student

I am very grateful to have a placement at PKS because I am able to learn more about the culture of Sarawak. I am also very happy to be able to meet friends from other states because I am from Sabah and I also get to know more ethnic groups in the state.

Queenie Bong Sin Ming

QUEENIE BONG SIN MING, 18

Accountancy  Student

Upon entering PKS, I hope to gain more experience while studying. My expectation throughout the learning course is to acquire a lot of new knowledge,  especially in the majors I am taking. I hope to be more disciplined and responsible throughout my time here in PKS.

Afif Mohd Amry

AFIF MOHD AMRY, 18

Information Technology  Student

PKS is my first choice to further my studies. I hope I am able to achieve my ambition in the future with the encouragement of my family members.
