MUKAH: State and federal government staff here are thankful to the Sarawak government for the special financial assistance announced by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg under the 2022 State Budget on Tuesday (Oct 12).
A frontliner Aubrey Sherod Ismail, 38, thanked the Sarawak government for its kind gesture in giving the special financial assistance to the federal staff.
Aubrey, who is an assistant medical officer at Mukah Hospital, hoped that it would motivate them to provide better or even excellent service to the people and the state in general.
He is currently serving at Dewan Suarah Mesra immunisation centre (PPV) here.
Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) Mukah officer Hafizzul Abdul Halim also gave the thumbs-up to the Sarawak government for the special financial aid.
“For those in the B40 group, it means a lot to them,” he said.
For Sgt Maj Ajahar Bakar, he described the special financial assistance as the Sarawak government’s concern over the welfare of the civil service staff.
“Thank you Sarawak government for your concern for the federal government staff too,” the policeman in his fifties added.
Administrative assistant Azlina Sahminan and public relations officer Mohd Baharruddin Mohamad, were both thankful to the Sarawak government and Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg for the financial aid.
“We feel happy and thank the Sarawak government for not forgetting the federal government staff who are serving in the state,” the Politeknik Mukah staffers said.
They added the special aid would certainly help in reducing their financial burden especially during the Covid-19 endemic.
