BINTULU: Fire victims from Rumah Lanting Depong Sungai Arip Balingian in Tatau will be receiving RM18,000 from the state government, revealed Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Kakus acting chief Nelson Mujah Giri.
He added Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas would be presenting the aid soon.
Mujah said this during his visit to the longhouse folk on Saturday.
With him were PBB Kakus Women chief Rohana Abdullah and Pemanca Gerosen Jubin.
During the visit, Mujah also donated RM2,000 to the fire victims.
On July 18 this year, the longhouse was razed at about 11pm, leaving 20 families homeless.
