GPS must enhance unity to win Selangau

SELANGAU: Component parties of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) in Tamin constituency are urged to enhance their cooperation in the mission to wrest back the Selangau Parliamentary seat from the opposition in the 15th general election (GE15).

Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) (Bumiputera Wing) supreme council member Mohamad Razi Sitam said, with such a spirit among component members, it might not be impossible for the mission to succeed.

“Only with the spirit of GPS, loyalty, cooperation and mutual agreement will ensure closer ties that will be able to cultivate a strong team.

“Of course, we want no division among us in GE15 which can harm ourselves and the party,” he stressed when visiting the PBB N59 Tamin operations room located in Selangau Town here, recently.

Razi, who is also the Deputy Minister of Women, Childhood and Community Development, wants especially PBB and Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) in the Tamin constituency to ensure that the mission is successful.

He believes that only with the spirit of cooperation that GPS will be able to wrest back the Selangau Parliamentary seat from the opposition.

“If you are determine to win the GPS Selangau Parliamentary seat, then only with team spirit and cooperation can guarantee you a victory in that seat.

“Avoid division, strengthen unity in GPS and work together to ensure our mission is successful,” stressed the Saribas assemblyman.

Earlier, Razi officiated at the handing over of government grant from his ministry to the victims of the recent fire at Rumah Jungan Gerang, Mile 36, Tamin at the Selangau District Office.

At the ceremony, he handed over financial aid amounting to RM283,299 through the state Social Welfare Department to 33 families of Rumah Jungan.
