Uggah speaks at the Majlis Pemimpin Bersama Rakyat.

SIMANGGANG: The Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition is not all talk when it comes to serving the people, said Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

“The GPS government under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg is a government that fights for all Sarawakians.

“And this is reflected by the development projects and initiatives that we have implemented instead of giving empty promises and rhetoric,” he said.

Uggah was speaking at Majlis Pemimpin Bersama Rakyat (Leaders with Community Ceremony) held at Hotel Seri Simanggang here on Monday (Aug 31).

He reminded the grassroot leaders to play their role in educating the younger generations on the responsibility of taking care of the state.

“This is important because when the state election comes, we must fight to retain the community-oriented GPS government.

“We must know how to differentiate a diamond from a stone,” he added.

Uggah added he was confident GPS would win big in the coming state election.
