KUCHING: An operations room of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coordinating committee for Engkilili constituency has been established for the four component parties.
They are Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP), Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) and Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS).
The first meeting in the operations room was chaired by Simanggang assemblyman Datuk Francis Harden Hollis as the official caretaker for Engkilili constituency yesterday (July 19).
The operations room is necessary to be established as the state election is coming near.
It will serve as a centre to manage the party’s machinery movement and an information centre for the voters on the voting status.
All activities to be implemented will be discussed with the central committee beforehand. This is to avoid overlapping activities and to give space for a systematic management.
