GPS reaches out to all communities

LONG AYA ULU TINJAR: Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau said the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is committed to reach out to all communities in the State.

“No community is too far to reach by the very understanding and caring Sarawak government led by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg,” he said when declaring open a just-completed access road at Long Aya, Ulu Tinjar last Friday.

The Rural Transfomation projects (RTP) project cost over RM200,000.

Long Aya, is a 28-door Kenyah longhouse located along the Tinjar River, and takes about four hours to reach via four-wheel-drive vehicles from Miri City.

Dennis also revealed that Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) was currently carrying out work to connect several villages in the area including Long Aya to the Sesco power grid.

“Soon you will be enjoying 24-hour electricity. This is the  result of us having a very understanding state government and leaders.”

At the event, Dennis announced a minor rural project (MRP) grant of RM10,000 to the village’s JKKK and RM5,000 to Long Aya village church.ends
