KUCHING: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) youngest candidate Mohamad Shafizan Kepli has secured the Batang Lupar parliamentary seat.
The 37-year-old won the seat with a total of 19,627 votes, with a majority of 14,463.
He defeated Perikatan Nasional (PN) Hamdan Sani with 5,164 votes while Pakatan Harapan (PH) Maxel Rojis lost his deposit with only 2,768 votes.
