Kanowit PKR Division vice chairman, Thomas Laja who said this in a press conference today, said that party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will be the guest-of-honour at the event.

“This is the first time Kanowit PKR is organising the celebration since the formation of the new government led by PH.

“It is organised by us in collaboration with the Community Development Department (Kemas) and the Information Department.

“Nevertheless, the event is open to all including MPs and assemblymen from GPS in Kanowit as Gawai is a cross-cultural event solely for racial harmony and in line with our celebration theme ‘Together We Celebrate Gawai’,” he added.
