KUCHING: SK Mejar Jeneral Dato Ibrahim in Kota Sentosa here recently received a grant of RM10,000 from Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap Yau Sin.

The grant was given to provide assistance and support to the school to organise more sports activities and educational programmes necessary to meet the academic needs of the students.

“I have informed the school’s Parent and Teacher’s association (PTA) that an upgrading project has been approved under my Rural Transformation Project 2023.

“Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) has been appointed as the implementing agency and I will do a follow up with them to ensure that the work under the project can start soon,” Yap said in a statement after officiating at the closing ceremony of Karnival Panitia 2023 at the school’s compound on Thursday.

On the carnival programme, Yap congratulated the teachers and parents for organising the carnival as it provides a platform to students to apply the three principles of learning which are learning to know, learning to do and learning to live together.
