Grants totalling RM727,000 disbursed to 71 NGOs

MIRI: Minister of Transport Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin on Sunday disbursed Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants totalling RM727,000 to 71 social, youth, sports, educational, religious and school’s Parent Teacher Associations (PTA).

Lee, who is also Senadin assemblyman, also disbursed one Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) cheque to Miri Chinese Charitable Trust Board for its cemetery project at Lambir.

The minor project fund given to the various organisations is to support their various programmes and activities which will complement or supplement some of the government programmes.
