MUKAH: Grants totalling RM304,000 were handed over to various recipients here to assist them in carrying out their activities and projects, including those under the Projek Mesra Rakyat (PMR).
Some 33 recipients comprised village development and security committees (JKKKs), longhouses, parents-teachers associations (PTAs) and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
For another 83 recipients, the grants were for education welfare, medical and compassionate aid.
Mukah Parliamentary Constituency Service Centre spokesman Rosli Sopok handed over the grants in stages from Oct 15 to 25 at Mukah Parliament Service Centre here.
He was representing Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib, who is also Mukah MP.
