KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) branch and grassroots leaders have to view themselves as political frontliners.

PBB vice president Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi said such perception was important to ensure that the party machinery continues to run smoothly.

“If the Chief Minister (Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg) announced the election date in the near future, we have to prepare our machinery to the best we can.

“This is to ensure that every planning drafted can be realised smoothly,” he said during a dialogue session at Pantai Damai on Wednesday night.

The session was attended by PBB grassroots leaders of Kampung Temenggong, Kampung Sungai Agas and Kampung Temedak.

Kampung Temenggong is the fourth location in a series of dialogue sessions after Kampung Jaya Bakti, Kampung Pasir Pandak and Kampung Semarang.

Dr Abdul Rahman who is also Pantai Damai assembylman said the dialogue sessions were to prepare the grassroots leaders to be ready for the state election.
