DARO: Good news for the locals here as the proposed Anjung Usahawan one-stop Centre project in the district has been approved.

According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) in a news report, an allocation of RM6 million has been approved for the construction of the centre.

Recently, Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad went to have a look at the site of the proposed centre.

The Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Industrial Terminal and Entrepreneur Development (MINTRED) is said to be the implementing agency for the project.

Once completed, the centre will enable small entrepreneurs to market their products better and more comfortably.

Earlier on, Safiee officiated at the Bantuan Khas Sarawakku Sayang 6.0 (BKSS 6.0) presentation ceremony for Daro District small traders.

One hundred and thirty-six traders were eligible to receive the RM1,500 assistance which was previously announced by t Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg. 

Later, Safiee also received a courtesy visit from Sarawak Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) and attended a briefing on the procedures to obtain  Halal certificates.
