KUCHING: The Sarawak State Library (Pustaka) produced its own Visitor’s Care Protocol guide, which users and the general public have to adhere to before entering the premises and patronising their services.

“This is to inform that the library will require all visitors, suppliers, and staff to register before entering Pustaka Negeri Sarawak premises and its campuses,” it said in a statement yesterday.

It encouraged visitors, suppliers, and staff to install QR code applications to easily fill in their details prior to entering the library premises.

“The use of QR code will replace filling in forms to prevent the spread of Covid-19.  This QR code is intended for contact tracing in the event of Covid-19 cases at the library premises and its campuses,” it said.

Besides that, there is a compulsory use of face masks and body temperature checks. Hand sanitisers will also be provided and social distancing of at least a metre is to be observed.

These procedures can be seen on the posters on their official website and at the entrances to the premises.

Users who do not have QR code scanning applications can browse the following URLs:
