MIRI: A black bag containing a gun was found near the main entrance of an orchard in Tudan Phase 3, last Tuesday.
The discovery was made around 12pm by the orchard owner, a 58-year-old man, who later alerted the police.
The gun was later determined by the police to be a fake.
Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah, when contacted today, confirmed that a report had been lodged on the discovery.
The case is being investigated under Section 36 of the Firearms Act 1960.
