Gun-toting men rob victims of cash, power bank

MIRI: A house here was robbed by six armed men.

Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah said the crime happened around 12.45am last Saturday.

A victim told police that six men came to the worker’s house in Ladang Sawit SPAD Niah.

According to the victim, who was asleep with three other housemates, he woke up when there was a knock on the door.

The suspects, armed with shotguns and knives, entered the home and ordered the victims to sit down.

The group took a power bank, money and the workers’ identification documents.

The men then left the scene on three motorcycles.

None of the workers were harmed, and the estimated loss was around RM100.

The case is being investigated under Section 397 of the Penal Code for armed gang robbery.
